Rebajas: menos es más

Sales: less is more

The sales season is here, and many stores are packed with people. Endless lines to pay and return items, impulse purchases, and dirty, messy, or poorly fitted clothes... these are what we usually find in most fast-fashion stores.

The origin of sales dates back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries, coinciding with the rise of department stores. Their goal was to increase sales and clear excess inventory at the end of each season. This phenomenon fostered mass consumption and ultimately diminished the value of products.

Today, sales remain one of the most anticipated times for consumers to purchase their favorite products at a reduced price. However, it's important to be aware that everything comes at a price. While it may benefit our wallets, there are social, economic, and environmental consequences on the other side of the planet.

For small fashion brands like Modless, sales are an opportunity to showcase our products and make them accessible to more people. However, if you have the opportunity, we encourage you to support small businesses by purchasing their products at full price.

The key is always the same: less is more . And when shopping, quality is better than quantity.
